President Triet of Vietnam received Prof. Dr. Khristo Takhchidi, General Director of the Fyodorov Eye Microsurgery Complex (FEMC) and President of the Russian Ophthalmologists’ Association, in Hanoi on February 12 during his visit to Vietnam to attend the opening ceremony of the Vietnam-Russia International Ophthalmology Hospital (VRIOH).
The hospital is a joint project between the VRIOH Joint Stock Company and the FEMC. It will have exceptionally outstanding eye care technologies imported from Germany, Japan, the US, Sweden and Russia.
The hospital aims to provide hi-tech ophthalmologic healthcare services for local residents as well as providing them with the opportunity to receive treatment in Russia.
The children will be provided with a separate eye ward. The Vietnamese people will receive advanced eye treatments at affordable costs.
The hospital which officially opened on 19th February is supposed to get huge benefits from the leading clinical and research ophthalmological center in Russia, MNTK Fyodorov.
