Indian glaucoma experts organizes 18th annual conference to discuss disease management

With an aim to discuss about the latest eye surgical techniques, improving the quality of a patient’s life and better disease management, last Saturday on 1st of November an Annual Conference was organized by India in Chandigarh. This conference was organized by Advanced Eye Center, PGI.

This two-day annual Conference of the Glaucoma Society was organized at PGI with more than 40 glaucoma experts and participants from India and abroad. The conference program includes inaugural functions and discussions about the eye surgical techniques.

The program started with guest lectures from Dr Allan Robin, USA, Dr Bill Morgan, Australia, and Dr G Chandrashekhar, Hyderabad.

In the afternoon session various surgical methods for treating glaucoma patients were discussed in detail. Dr Vijaya, president of the Glaucoma Society of India, discussed the latest techniques by which one can avoid complications of glaucoma surgery.
