Cataract surgery is a popular one in the world. It is supposed to make people free from any form of eye diseases. But India is witnessing a series of cataract surgery that is responsible for causing blindness.
After failed cataract surgery in Sitapur that made 8 patients blind, another 16 people lost their eye sight at a free eye camp in Sriganganagar district of Rajasthan. Also 27 others suffered eye-related. All the victims were on Sunday brought to the Jaipur-based SMS hospital.
According to the victims and their kin, after complications were reported on a mass scale, the affected patients were shifted to a hospital in Bikaner from where 38 patients were brought to SMS Hospital in Jaipur. The camp was organzed by the The health department.
