We need police to maintain law and order in the country. In the same way we need vitamins to control and stimulate our body's health and metabolism. Among the different varieties of vitamins, B Vitamins are class apart.
They are a team of eight members each distinct from others with respect to the area of origin and duty they perform. Here I present a list of the vitamins.
1) Vitamin B1 (thiamine)
2) Vitamin B2 (riboflavin)
3) Vitamin B3 (niacin, includes nicotinic acid and nicotinamide)
4) Vitamin B5 (pantothenic acid)
5) Vitamin B6 (pyridoxine, pyridoxal, and pyridoxamine)
6) Vitamin B7 (biotin), also known as vitamin H
7) Vitamin B9 (folic acid), also, vitamin M
8) Vitamin B12 (various cobalamins; commonly cyanocobalamin in vitamin supplements)
The foods which we must include in our daily diet to prevent the various deficiency diseases are potatoes, bananas, lentils, chile peppers, tempeh, liver oil, liver, turkey, tuna, nutritional yeast (or brewer's yeast) and molasses.
These vitamins not only increase the rate of metabolism, enhance immune and nervous system and prevent anemia but also combat the symptoms and causes of stress, depression and cardiovascular diseases.
Recent discovery!!
Most recently it was found that Vitamin B9 or folic acid can prevent a severe eye disorder named macular degeneration. A study was conducted by the Archives of Internal Medicine on 5,000 women. The participants were given vitamin supplements. The results showed that the risk of getting the disease lowered by 40%.
Actually folic acid has the capacity to lower homocysteine which has been found to be associated with macular degeneration. So keep gorging B Vitamins to guard your body from health theives(minor diseases) and dacoits(major disorders).
