Trinidad witnesses rise in red eye cases
Trinidad and Tobago has seen a sharp rise in number of red eye cases.
Medically referred to as Viral Conjunctivitis, red eye is an inflammation of the thin, transparent membrane covering the inner eyelid and the white part of the eye, known as the conjunctiva.The infection is highly contagious and is often caused by a virus known as Adenovirus, which is a very small germ according to the statement issued by the Ministry of Health in the country.
