우간다는 장님의 모험을 증가하는 트라코마 질병에 대하여 싸우는 것을 계획한다
요하네스버어그 (와) 우간다는 Nebbi 병원에 100명 환자에게 자유로운 눈 반복한 감염 후에 장님을 일으키는 원인이 되는 트라코마 질병을 밖으로 각인하기 위하여 처리를 제안했다.
맹목적인 트라코마는 중동, 북에서 대폭적 및 이하 사하라 아프리카, 인도 아대륙의 부분, 남쪽 아시아 및 중국이다.
세계 보건 기구 (WHO)는 반복한 재감염 후에 장님 귀착될지도 모른다 눈의 감염으로 트라코마를 정의한다.
질병에 의하여 세계의 예방 가능한 장님의 주요한 원인이고 사람들이 물과 건강 관리에 한정된 접근을 가진 overcrowded 조건에서 어디가 사는지 일어난다. 트라코마는 개별에서 쉽게 퍼지고 아이 아이에게와 아이에게서 가족 내의 어머니에게 빈번하게 통과된다.
트라코마는 Chlamydia trachomatis에게 불린 유기체에 기인한다. 감염된 아이의 눈에서 출력을 통해, 트라코마는 손을, 의류에, 또는 감염한 아이의 얼굴에 도착하는 비행거리를 전달된다.
작년에 단지, 보건 기구, 트라코마로 6명의 673명의 사람들 및 백내장 가동으로 2 676이라고 대우되는 국제적인 Sightsavers.

TO PRACTICE AS AN OPTOMETRIST IN ANY EYE CENTER IN EAST AFRICA
I am sending this email to indicate my desire to practice as an optometrist in any of the Eye centres/Hospital in any of the East African countries where the services of eye are professionals are need for prevention of blindness.
Fortunately, I have worked (as part-timer) in various rural communities for several years under the auspices of Zenith Mobile Eye clinic for Rural people here in Nigeria .
I am highly familiar and have handled patients with various visual dysfunctions and eye diseases (refractive cases including presbyopia, catarct, avitamiosis A, Trachoma, Malnutruition, conjunctivitis, Filariasis (onchocerciasis, loisis etc), and may others.
I graduated from Imo State (now known as Abia State due to new states creation) school of Optometry in 1989 with O.D. degree in Optometry. I won the prize as the best graduating student in clinical Optometry in our degree examination.
I have worked in different eye clinics, hospitals and centers and my duties include patient’s Eye Examination, Diagnosis, Treatment and Management of different types of eye diseases and conditions -excluding surgical cases.
The extents of my practice are:
1. Application of pharmaceutical diagnostic agents in patient examination.
2. Application of pharmaceutical agents in the treatment of eye diseases.
3. Prescription of spectacle lenses for refractive errors corrections.
4. Prescription of contact lenses for refractive error corrections.
5. Prescription of Low vision aid for partially sighted individuals.
6. Rehabilitation of the partially and/or totally blind individuals.
7. Counseling and Educating people in issues relating to vision and the general health and social lives of people.
8. Detecting and evaluating some systemic disorders (Diabetes, High BP, Polycythemia Vera, Anemia, etc.,) through ocular examination.
9. Currently, I am into co-management with Dr. Mathur ?the chief consultant Ophthalmologist/Surgeon in handling surgical and non surgical patients in the ophthalmology unit of our Teaching Hospital) where we handle great number of eye diseases, eye injuries, and pre and post surgical patients. I am well acquainted with Phaco-emulsifying machine and surgical procedures during surgery in the theater.
10. Management of pre and post operative patients as well as disease conditions of the eye.
At present, I am with the Department of Optometry, Madonna University as the Head of Department of Optometry, Coordinator of Pre-Degree programme of the University, Lecturer I and clinic supervisor.
