Sorry for the delay. I somehow missed your comments.

Preliminary eye exams for LASIK surgery are normally free. Actually they are included in the toal package. So if you are not suitable most likely you wouldn’t be charged anything or at most a nominal amount.

Expect to pay under 2000$ for the entire procedure. A leading multi-center LASIK provider, TLC Laser Eye Centers, reported average fees per procedure in the second quarter of 2005 as $1,983.
