New Cataract Surgery Technique Provides High Level Glass Free Vision
The City-based (Coimbatore,India) Lotus Eye Care Hospital has introduced new lens technology 'ACYOF RESTOR IOL' for high level of glass free vision for cataract patients.
Addressing a press conference here yesterday, hospital Chairman Dr K Sundaramurthy said 15 patients had benefited from this unique IOL procedure so far, since a week.
Elaborating this new procedure, he said Microphaco surgery was performed as outpatient treatment by which Cataract was removed through a small incision (zero point nine mm) and implanting advanced restor lens, manufactured in America, for spectacles free vision.
This procedure was the safest and most successful and provided full range of vision without dependency on reading glasses. Patients could read books, work on the computer, drive a car day or night and play games.
