New Bifocal Cataract Lens Approved by FDA

Doctors can correct cataracts with a simple outpatient procedure that replaces the cloudy lens.

But a new bifocal lens recently approved by the FDA is offering patients the ability to see things at a distance and up close, without glasses.

Doctors say the new lens is not a cure because some people may still need glasses at some point, but it's certainly an option now available for people with cataracts.
