Lasik Vision Institute Settles Lawsuit over Pricing
Lasik Vision Institute, Florida eye surgery company, allegedly misrepresented the cost of corrective laser eye surgery in newspaper ads.
Lasik Vision Institute allegedly didn't disclose limits on its advertised prices or indicate potential price ranges for surgeries. Attorney General Lisa Madigan said many consumers paid more than prices advertised in papers.
The firm, which had attracted patients with the promise of eye surgery for as little as $299, is now required to divulge the true cost of eye surgeries in its marketing as part of the settlement.
