LASIK Surgery Results Long-Lasting Clear Vision
Lasik for many has helped bring the world into focus without the aid of glasses or contacts, but how long does that clear vision last? A 10-year study aimed to answer just that question.
Nikki Hurley was more than happy to be among the first in the United Stated to try LASIK eye surgery nearly a decade ago in Dallas.
As a nurse, precision eyesight is a must for Hurley. She was considered legally blind without her contacts in.
Nearly a decade after her laser eye surgery, Hurley's eyesight is still strong.
The study was released to eye doctors Monday at the Academy of Ophthalmology meeting in Las Vegas.
Researchers found patients' eyesight averaged 20-25 vision 10 years after surgery. Perfect vision is 20-20.
