Eye Surgeon Wins Lasik Malpractice Case Due to Negligence
A well-known Bergen County Lasik eye surgeon Dr. Joseph Dello Russo won a malpractice case in U.S. District Court on Friday against a Connecticut woman who alleged his surgery triggered eye problems that left her unable to drive or stay in bright daylight for long.
Emretta Hinman, 40, the woman who filed the suit two years ago, testified during the two-week trial that Dello Russo never explained the risks of the surgery before he operated on her in 2001, and then didn't take her subsequent complaints about vision problems seriously.
