Bayer AG's Bayer Healthcare unit and Regeneron Pharmaceuticals Inc. agreed to jointly develop, and commercialize a treatment for eye disease. The treatment, knows as VEGF Trap-Eye, blocks vascular endothelial growth factor, a protein that is responsible for blood vessel growth.
