144 Million Chinese-Made Kid Sunglasses Recalled Due To Excessive Lead
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission and the distributor, StyleMark Inc. have decided to recall China made 144,000 Main Street Drag sunglasses due to excessive levels of lead as the lettering on the surface of the sunglass violates the norm of the federal lead paint standard. Those are kid sunglasses. The recalled glasses have number DI25K711imprinted on the left temple.
The affected sunglasses were sold in Walgreen's, Academy Sports, and CVS stores mostly between 2007 and 2008. They have Main Street Drag characters painted on the bottom of one lens. The sunglasses have metallic dark blue or dark metallic red on the front. Consumers are advised to contact StyleMark at 866-928-1913 for instructions on returning the sunglasses for a free replacement pair.
